Dr. Brent Simpson
Lead Pastor & Professor
Dr. Brent has been in ministry since 1998 and is currently the Lead Pastor of ARISE Church, Brandon, Florida. Consistently named as one of Outreach Magazine’s 100 fastest growing churches in America. Brent is known as a futurist, Christian apologist, and contemporary anthropologist. He serves as a church and business consultant working with organizations seeking to take their next steps in their growth journey. Brent has ministered in hundreds of churches in over 60 countries around the world. He is the author of several books and curricula. He earned an MA in Ministerial Leadership from Southeastern University and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Liberty University.
Dr. Terry Raburn
Pen FL. A/G Superintendent
Dr. Raburn serves as Superintendent of the Peninsular Florida District Council of the Assemblies of God, overseeing district ministries and leadership responsibilities that support approximately 1,400 credentialed ministers and 350 churches. He represents the Fellowship nationally while serving as Chairman of Southeastern University, a member of the General Presbytery of the Assemblies of God, and a board member for Real Life Children’s Ranch, Native American University, and the American Bible Society for life. Terry holds a Doctorate from Southeastern University and a degree in Political Science, Sociology, and Anthropology from the University of Alabama.
Dr. Cedrick Valrie
SEU Professor and local Pastor
Dr. Valrie was born and raised in the inner city of Alabama, where he learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and humility. Valrie finds great joy working in higher education. He is known for his fervent spirit, his love for teaching and mentoring, and his unwavering commitment in helping students. Under his leadership, students gain practical life skills and clarity concerning their calling to be effective in the local church and the marketplace. As an ordained minister, he continues to inspire and engage the Body of Christ to seek inner healing, grow in grace and truth, and celebrate all wins big or small. Dr. Valrie earned a D.Min from Portland Seminary.
Dr. Robby Waddell
SEU Professor and Local Pastor
Robby Waddell teaches biblical studies at Southeastern University. His current projects include a book on Pentecostals and the Bible (Oxford University Press), a commentary on the Gospel of Mark (Brill Publishing), and a commentary on the Book of Revelation (Sheffield Phoenix Press). Dr. Waddell also serves as the director of the Global Pentecostalism Center at Southeastern. He is a research fellow at the Centre of Pentecostal Theology in Cleveland, TN, a member of the editorial committee of Pneuma: The Journal of the Society for Pentecostal Studies, and an associate editor of the Journal of Pentecostal Theology. Waddell is the lead pastor of a local church and regularly speaks in churches and conferences.
Dr. Randy Helms
Local Pastor
Randy Helms has pastored Glad Tidings since January 1995 with 40 years of pastoral experience. He graduated from Southeastern University and holds a Master’s Degree in Church Leadership as well as a Doctoral Degree in Strategic Leadership from Regent University. Dr. Helms has ministered in over 50 countries, is the co-author of the book “Connecting Points” and most recently authored “The Joy of Connecting.”
Dr. Charles Golden
SEU Professor
Dr. Gaulden graduated from Southeastern University in 1978. He then pastored for many years in South Carolina and returned to SEU in 2007 to teach in the College of Ministry. His teaching emphasis is on the Old Testament, archaeology, and leadership. He regularly speaks in churches and leadership conferences. Dr. Gaulden is married to Vanessa A. Gaulden, who is a public school teacher in Polk County. They travel to the very rural areas of Central America and Mexico to train leaders. Dr. Gaulden has three children, is an avid golfer, and is an Eagle Scout. He has traveled and ministered in many states and various countries abroad. He has published works on the Psalms and in leadership. He holds a D.Min from Eskrine Seminary and a Ph.D from Southeastern University.

Rev. Ken McAnulty
Executive Pastor & Teacher
Ken McAnulty has been a Minister with the Assemblies of God since 1998. Throughout his years of ministerial leadership, he has served as a youth pastor, executive pastor, and evangelist. Ken currently serves as the Executive Pastor at Arise Church and was the founding Dean of Arise School of Ministry. He and his wife, Madonna, have been married since 1996 and have two children (Olivia and Jeremiah). Ken loves teaching God’s word and serving others as they reach the dreams and potential God has given them. In his spare time, Ken enjoys spending quality time with his family at home and traveling.
Rev. John Allen
Pastor and Church Leader
John graduated with a B.A. in Religious Education from Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri (1971). He earned his M.A. in Bible and Theology from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, Missouri (1975). He served as Academic Dean at Mount Vernon Bible College in Mount Vernon, Ohio, and as Director of the Orlando Metro School of Ministry in Orlando, Florida. He has 28 years of experience as a lead pastor and 6 years as a hospital chaplain at Olean (NY) General Hospital. He and his wife, Linda, have two boys and five grandchildren. He enjoys hiking, photography, and astronomy. John faithfully served as the ASOM director for 3 years.
Rev. Pete Kramer
Teaching Pastor and ASOM Director
Pete has 20 years of pastoral ministry experience and often consults with churches across the USA about guest connections, discipleship methods, and homiletics. Pete has a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Central Bible College (now Evangel University) and is wrapping up an MA in Biblical Studies from Bridges Seminary.
Dr. Lauren Raley
Professor & Local Pastor
Lauren serves on the pastoral staff at New Life Assembly of God in Trilby and teaches theology and ethics at Southeastern University, where she also works as the Director of Assessment and Director for the Barnett College Preaching Team. She began ministry as a Campus Missionary Associate at the University of South Florida and intern director for PFYouth. She holds a B.A. from USF, two master’s degrees from SEU, and is completing her Ph.D. in Theology & Religion at the University of Birmingham (UK). In her free time, she searches out central Florida’s best gluten-free bakeries and spends quality time with her sisters and nieces.
