We know that making the decision to continue your education is stressful but we are here to help make this as simple as possible.
How much does ASOM cost?
There is a one-time enrollment fee of $50. Then cost of each class is $60 (late registration is $80). The cost of textbooks is $40 for each course, and it is the student’s responsibility to cover travel and food expenses.
How does ASOM registration work?
First step: APPLICATION…Once an application is submitted and approved, you will receive an email with a link to register for the first class.
Second Step: REGISTRATION…You are not registered for the class until the $60 registration fee is paid for that specific class.
When does class meet?
Class is once a month (typically on the 2nd Saturday of the month). From 8-5 p.m. in the Wynn Center at ARISE Church of Brandon. The course changes every single month.
How many courses are available?
28 courses complete all the educational requirements for Assemblies of God credentials. Each course lasts (1) month. Each Course consists of workbook study, one class period, a reflection paper, and a comprehensive exam. During the weeks before the class session, each student must complete the workbook assignment. This will help to ensure that each student is adequately prepared to participate in class discussion and pass the final exam.
Who can apply?
Anyone over the age of 16 years old who can complete an application and a background check. Current ASOM students include accountants, stay-at-home parents, medical professionals, and high school students. The diversity of ages and experiences makes for great classroom discussions.
What if I miss a class at ASOM?
Due to the class meeting only once per month it is strongly encouraged that students plan around ASOM and not plan over it. Yet, life has a way of throwing us a curveball. In that instance very few exceptions can be made to accommodate one missed class in the coursework.
