Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How much does ASOM cost?

ASOM is a very affordable way to take the classes required to become a certified, licensed, or ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. There is a one-time enrollment fee of $50 which includes a background check, and the cost of each class is $60 (late registration is $80). The cost of textbooks is approximately $40 for each course, and it is the student’s responsibility to cover travel and food expenses.

How does registration work?

Once an application is submitted and approved.  You may Register Here.

You are not registered for the class until the $60 registration fee is paid. Pre-registration for all classes will close no less than 3 week prior to class date. The pre-registration fee for each class is $60 per student. There will be a minimum requirement of students pre-registered for each class.

The student will still be responsible for all reading and homework assignments required of the class. That will be due at the beginning of the class. Registration closes the Sunday before the class at midnight.

You can apply for enrollment by submitting the application which is found under the “Enroll Here” tab.

When does class meet?

Each class will last a month with the class meeting face-to-face on one Saturday from 8 AM-5 PM during the time period.

A minimum of five students is required for each class. If there are not five students the course may be cancelled.

During the three weeks prior to the class session, each student must complete the reading and homework assignments, and meet other various requirements as specified for each course. This will help to ensure that each student is adequately prepared to participate in class and pass the final exam.

Are there any special requirements for application?

There are no educational requirements needed to be a student at ASOM.

You must be able to pass a background check, and be able to cover the enrollment and course costs.
